At the start of the web design portion of Electronic Publishing and Design class we needed to create a banner for our homework website. This banner was created by taking a image, cropping it down and adding text to it.

Earlier in the semester we learned how to use the Text Tool on Photoshop and wrapping it on to a path. This is called Path Tying, which allows you to type words along a path.

In Photoshop there are ways to make certain parts of a image pop just like in this image on the left. To draw focus in on the young man in the middle of the photo.

Learning the usage of vectors was the main focus of this exercise. We used the pin tool to creat a curved line with a different color from the background to give the image an artistic flare. Later the images and test was added to the document.

The gradiant tool was the major highlight of this project. This is an example of taking and image and having it fade into the background of the document. This is good for flyers or programs that will hinder the photograph from over powering the text.
